On a Path of thorns ‘n thistles

So I’m falling in front of you now
wanting to become wholly satisfied in you
The burden of my heart sings to you;
to living a life worthy of your praise
entangled in selfish desires and comfortable living
my thoughts are of how to live my life,
rather than living it for you
I see my apathetic lifestyle and can only wonder–
how you can still see the beautiful me??
I’m finding it easier to choose complacency &&
settling with this mundane world
Don’t I know I live for something greater?
Can’t I humble myself & realize I am your vessel?
&& its not about those friday night parties–
&& its not about wether he is into me or not–
&& its not about climbing this ladder to success–
&& it not about only praising your name on Sundays and Wednesdays–

but…

Its about getting uncomfortable so someone else won’t have to be
ITs about believing what we know and putting it to actions
Its about ministering and being accountable for a our friends when they need you
&& its simply about love. Genuine love…
with this it encompasses all that i long for and all that i need.
And I pray that you will restlessly give my heart a restlessness until I am on that beautiful path with thorns n’ thistles, of uncomfortable living, and settling for things that are thought to be unsettling

So, I care for you. Believe it or not I tagged my closest friends… because honestly we are called to live with a community.. and with accountability. The past few days I have just been really restless, I guess you could say, and I definitely had some pretty good chats with some people and it made me start thinking, I know I haven’t been living with the genuine love and care we are supposed to have for people… I have merely been comfortable and not striving to leave a mark for the better in ANYONE’S life…
pretty much sucks..
But I guess this is just a challenge for both me and you, just to start living out loud…
to start loving… and living not in the shadows, or living passively… but making a difference.
And as a friend, and a fellow disciple, I am asking you…
What do you think about this?
How are we going to go about this… changing the world, one life at a time…

What a beautiful mess…
her hair is getting tangled in the wind
that speedometer seems to reflect the velocity of her heart
she is racing away from that one horse town
into bigger and better things
thats what she is promising herself
“she wants to live, live for something
she wants to die, die for something”
she turns up the radio and imagines herself in those shoes
living and dying … for anything worthy
she only has the road in front of her
and a heart full of expectations
this time she wont regret, she won’t think about the past
blue skies and sunshine; open road and hand in the wind
she’s such a beautiful mess
she don’t even realize it, she’s everywhere-
crazy as hell and determined as ever
she’ll sell out with out wanting a second chance
she is an all or nothing kinda gal
and that’s the only way she’d have it
although the outcome has sometimes left her heart bruised and broken
today is a new day
she has a hope that won’t go away
and a love that is searching for something greater
she won’t stop until she finds what she’s lookin’ for
you could call her stubborn or prideful but she wouldn’t agree
a girl that has made a few unfortunate mistakes is what she sees
and that was yesterday; she won’t hold anything back now
she has heart heart in her hand and emotions on her sleeve
what you see is what you get, she’s a beautiful mess.
